Wawa, a well-liked convenience store chain found along the East Coast, is set to establish its inaugural drive-thru location in Florida, as shared by St. Pete Rising.
The new establishment is anticipated to occupy the space previously held by a former Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet at 2530 E. Bay Drive in Largo. The city has sanctioned a development order to facilitate this transformation.
St. Pete Rising's recent coverage noted that the issued development order grants Wawa permission to raze the existing structure and replace it with a brand-new 2,036-square-foot drive-thru restaurant.
As of now, no details have been made available regarding the projected opening date for this store's welcoming of customers.
